THE JOURNEY
In 2006 Braam completed a world-first as he ran 4200km along the entire amount of the fantastic Wall of Asia in a single effort. This translated to working an average of 43km a day (significantly more than a marathon per day), six days per week for more than one hundred days. Professionals had said it had been literally impossible.
After completing the journey, Braam underwent extensive knee surgery. Their doctor’s stated he'd never ever operate once more. He again proved the experts incorrect by running 3300km across the base of Africa from Namibia to Mozambique. As with the China expedition, he averaged over a marathon a day.
THE DIFFICULT
